Philadelphia Green Power Community Challenge

June 20, 2012 - 11:00am

On Wednesday, June 20th, EPA’s Green Power Partnership will be making an important announcement about the City of Philadelphia’s tremendous success in calling on residents, businesses and organizations to partner with the City in leading the way in renewable energy use. As the fifth largest city in the U.S., Philadelphia is sending a powerful message to its neighbors—that using green power is a smart choice for our environment and our economy.

The City of Philadelphia will launch its 2012 Green Power Community Challenge to encourage citizens and organizations to help Philadelphia become the largest EPA Green Power Community in America! EPA Regional Administrator Shawn Garvin, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, and Phillies President David Montgomery will be speaking at the event, and we hope you will be there.

Please join us for this exciting announcement and reception, hosted by the Philadelphia Phillies organization, along with other Philadelphia-area Green Power Partners, green power providers and local business leaders on Wednesday, June 20th, at 11:00 am.
