Philly.com: Philly takes step toward safer streets with new hire – The hiring of a Complete Streets Director represents an important first step in making streets safer for all users. Kelley Yemen will be responsible for coordinating between multiple city agencies to meet that goal.

Philly.com: Gov. Wolf: $3M state grant will extend Schuylkill River Trail farther into Southwest Phila – The grant will aid in the development of a 2.25-mile section of the Schuylkill River Trail that will eventually connect to the Passyunk Avenue Bridge and turn brownfields into public space.

New York Times: New Jersey Transit, a cautionary tale of neglect – Like many mass transit systems across the U.S., NJ Transit is suffering from aging infrastructure and decreases in funding. This is creating unsafe conditions and is failing the hundreds of thousands of commuters who depend on mass transit.
