Philly.com: SEPTA transportation for seniors and disabled still not working for many – City Council is considering holding public hearings to assess the quality of the SEPTA CCT program, which provides rides to elderly and disabled residents. Many people depend on the service to get to medical appointments and jobs.

The Philadelphia Tribune: SEPTA, union face Oct. 31 deadline after strike vote – If an agreement is not made on October 31,  the strike could impact SEPTA’s ability to handle commuter traffic on election day.

The Guardian: Thousands of lorries to be banned from London for cyclist safety – Despite making up only 4% of traffic, lorries, large, heavy motor vehicles for transporting goods, have been involved in more than half London’s cycling deaths and more than a fifth of pedestrian deaths.

NextCity: NYC bill would improve the city’s dangerously overcrowded sidewalks –  With a population of 8.5 million and a tourism at an all-time high, the sidewalks have become dangerously gridlocked with pedestrians. Too many pedestrians is a great problem to have, and if this bill passes NYC would look at solutions for the best way to make room for everyone in the roadway.
