City Lab: The human cost of losing Amtrak – Amtrak is used by 144.6 million passengers a year. For many of those passengers Amtrak is one of few transportations available in their community.

Daily Mail: Uber says its flying taxis will take to the skies in 2020 in Dallas and Dubai – While not much is known about what the flying cars will look like, Uber expects to conduct passenger flights as part of the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Next City: Power-generating bike lane idea has Dept. of Energy’s attention –  Miami lags behind on on safe cycling infrastructure and sun-generated power. City Commissioner Ken Russell is aiming to tackle these issues with a Dutch-inspired solar bike path.  

Clean Air Council: 2017 Clean Air Commute Award Winners –  Clean Air Council’s annual Clean Air Commute Awards highlight the efforts of Philadelphia-area commuters and employers who go the extra mile for sustainable commuting. This year, University of Pennsylvania was honored with the Clean Air Commute Employer of the Year, American Association for Cancer Research won Clean Air Commute Employer of the Year runner-up, and Circuit Trails bike commuter Robin Irizarry was presented with Clean Air Commuter of the Year. Congratulations, to all the winners!
