NBC: Sustainable Transportation Start-Up Wants to Improve Refugees’ Lives – Roshni Rides aims to bring accessible, reliable, clean, and affordable transportation through an e-rickshaw service to Orangi Town. Located in Karachi, Pakistan, Orangi is Asia’s largest informal settlement with over 1 million inhabitants. The solar-powered rickshaws will operate on a on systemized route and can each hold six to eight people. An individual ride will cost $0.13.
