Philly.com: SEPTA, Uber team to ease suburban parking crunch – SEPTA is hoping to curb their parking problem and boost their ridership at 11 “parking poor” Regional Rail stations by partnering with Uber. Regional Rail riders who take Uber to or from the participating stations will get 40% off the cost of their Uber ride. This pilot program will be in effect from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Forbes: Uber teams up with real estate developer to replace car ownership  – Uber is teaming up with Parkmerced, a real estate development firm in San Francisco, to offer new tenants who go car-free a monthly $100 transportation stipend. The subsidy can be used on Uber and public transit, however $30 must be used on Uber.

Next City: Latest trend in urban vehicle-sharing begins key test in Paris – Cityscoot, a private company, is rolling out the world’s largest fleet of shared electric scooters in Paris. Last year, air quality in Paris reached crisis levels causing a 24-hour restriction on cars with even-numbered license plates.

Philly.com: Poor air quality alert for Philadelphia – It’s not even summer yet and Philadelphia has already had two orange and one red air quality actions. Ground-level ozone, often referred to as smog, is of the most concern and is caused by the combination of warm, sunny days, light winds, and traffic jams. According to the American Lung Association, ozone is harmful to breathe.
