Fight the Dirty Air Act
This fall marks the 40th anniversary of the Clean Air Act, one of our nation’s most effective and beneficial pieces of public health legislation. The Clean Air Act has successfully protected the health of millions of Americans – including children, seniors, and other vulnerable populations. Studies show that the benefits of the Clean Air Act outweigh the costs 42-to-1.
But yet, with no legislation being proposed this year by the Senate to finally address global warming, many Senators wrongfully seek to restrict the EPA’s ability to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.
We need the EPA to protect the American people from the dangerous health effects of unchecked pollution. Join the Council and urge your Senators to oppose any action in the U.S. Senate that would block or delay enforcement of the Clean Air Act and allow the nation’s biggest polluters to keep emitting dangerous global warming pollution without restraint.
