RideShare Rewards Program Offers Incentives for Delaware Commuters
The Clean Air Council, in partnership with RideShare Delaware, has launched a new pilot program that offers incentives for commuters who switch to a more environmentally friendly form of transportation (including walking, biking, public transit or carpooling) from driving alone. This program, named RideShare Rewards, is being funded through a Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) grant received from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC). Commuters who log at least 20 qualified clean commute days over a three-month period are eligible to earn a $50 gift card. Greenhouse gas emissions reductions will be calculated through RideShare Delaware’s online commute tracking system. As this is a pilot program, enrollment is limited to the first 250 participants.
