Request for Proposals

 Summary:

Clean Air Council is a member-supported environmental organization serving the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Council is dedicated to protecting and defending everyone’s right to breathe clean air. The Council works through a broad array of related sustainability and public health initiatives, using public education, community action, government oversight, and enforcement of environmental laws.

Clean Air Council is seeking proposals for a qualified market research or data analytics firm to perform an analysis of the GoPhillyGo website analytics and market potential. Activities might include conducting surveys, conducting focus groups, and analyzing available usage statistics. The final product will be a report that Clean Air Council owns, including a set of recommendations that outline how users are currently interacting with GoPhillyGo, what actions they take after visiting the website, what the potential is for user outcomes from GoPhillyGo (both tangible and intangible), and what the potential market and demographics are for GoPhillyGo users.

Service/Work Requirements:

Expectations: GoPhillyGo is a program of Clean Air Council that is centered around the website GoPhillyGo.org. A major goal of the program is to make multimodal transportation (the combination of bike + transit or walking + transit) and non-car transportation in general more accessible in the Philadelphia region. More accessible means both: making this easier for people who already participate in this type of transportation, as well as more accessible to a new user. Another goal is to draw people to environmental centers as recreation activities that are located in proximity to the Circuit Trails and along the watershed, to better connect people with the environment.

The goal of this project is to work with an expert to take a close look at the program and determine the baseline GoPhillyGo is at currently, and what is the potential impact and usership GoPhillyGo could achieve. The indicators the Council is interested in include how many people are visiting the website and subscribing to email and social media accounts; how people are interacting with GoPhillyGo.org; and what outcomes/actions happen as a result of visiting GoPhillyGo (some examples might include number of trips planned on the website, increased awareness of sustainable transportation options, increase in sustainable transportation usage, or increased visits to environmental destinations.) This project is expected to take no longer than 6 months, but potentially as little as 3 months. The project should culminate in a final deliverable of a report that details findings and recommendations for how to maximize the potential of GoPhillyGo.

Clean Air Council will provide access to Google Analytics (or other analytic service if desired) for GoPhillyGo.org, access to social media statistics for GoPhillyGo, and access to email statistics for GoPhillyGo. The Council will work with the selected consultant to provide a platform for necessary surveying, focus groups, and other activities that are agreed upon in the scope of work. The selected consultant should be prepared to guide this work, as it is an area outside of the Council’s expertise, and should be flexible when working with a non-profit, including but not limited to budget limitations.

Pricing: Entire budget for the project should not exceed $25,000, including any subcontractors, out of pocket expenses, or incidentals. This budget should include all costs associated with performing the work plan.

Submission Guidelines:

Proposals should include a summary of relevant experience, including experience working with nonprofit organizations, a scope of work including timeline, and plan for accomplishing the overall goals presented in this RFP.

Budget should include both a cost per task in the scope of work and costs by category (personnel, travel, etc.)

Questions should be submitted via email to nrogers@cleanair.org and answers will be posted online. Deadline for questions is 7/8 so that all applicants can see responses before submitting full proposals.

Proposals should be submitted via email to nrogers@cleanair.org by 7/15/2016 at 4 PM.

Clean Air Council has no obligation to accept any proposal submitted in response to this RFP. Clean Air Council reserves the right to cancel or reissue this RFP at any time.
