Frequently Asked Questions

Q:Why did you cancel the 2022 Run for Clean Air?
A:You can find
our full statement here, but in short, with just over a month before race day we were told that the MLK bridge at the start of our course is no longer available for our use by special events. After looking into alternatives, we ultimately decided that there wasn’t enough time for us to recreate the event at the venues available to us and didn’t feel it would be right to put on a rushed or scaled-down event.

Q: When can I expect to get refunded my registration fees from the canceled 2022 Run for Clean Air?
A: We’re allowing registrants to respond to the RunSignUp survey through March 25th to decide to either donate their registration fee or get a full refund. We’ll then start the refund process on the next business day, Monday March 28th.

Q: Can I still run the virtual race even though the event was canceled?
A:
Unfortunately, no. We had to completely cancel the event, including the virtual race. We were able to minimize our losses by cancelling our t-shirt order, but our medals were already in production so you are still able to get a finisher medal. For a donation of $15 or more, we’re happy to ship you this year’s magnetic finisher medal (medal with ribbon, shipping and handling included). Even though the event is canceled, we invite you to Run for Clean Air on your own this year. There’s no need to send us your time, but feel free to post on social media about it! To get a finisher medal, just go to our RunSignUp donation page and either the $15 finisher medal option (or an amount over $15).
