- Sample comment: “PennEast has submitted a completely new application, not a simple amendment. FERC is obligated to fully assess the environmental impacts of this new project and to evaluate the need for the project. This latest proposal is a subversion of the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) if the project proceeds without a new Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The capacity for this pipeline is currently undersubscribed and does not meet FERC’s test for public need. Meanwhile, both PennEast and Adelphia continue to seize private lands, devastating private residents and communities in its path.”
