We already have 30 Purple Air monitors and 4 VOC sensors in Delaware County. This is a huge accomplishment and we could not thank our air monitor hosts enough. Additional monitors will give us a more complete picture of the air quality in the county.

What are Purple Air Monitors?
The Purple Air monitors track particulate matter (PM) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), key pollutants affecting our air quality. The data from these monitors is publicly available 24/7, and the entire community can access it through PurpleAir. This helps us stay informed about air quality and its potential impact on our health.

What are VOC Air Sensors?
VOCs are volatile organic compounds that exist in the air that can have severe impacts on human health. The Council’s high-quality VOC air sensors measure and monitor VOCs in the air.
