The Run for Clean Air, launched in 1982, was one of the region’s longest-running charity races and its largest Earth Day celebration. It grew to host thousands of registrants, and became a certified green event. The Run was a celebration of sustainable and healthy neighborhoods, clean air, and improvements in the region’s overall environmental health.
