Women’s March on Philadelphia

Pennsylvanians who care about environmental and social justice have the opportunity to set the tone for the future of our country by standing together as progressives over the next four years.

On Saturday, January 21st at 10:00 AM, we will be joining the Women’s March on Philadelphia, which has just released a sweeping progressive policy platform. As Pennsylvanians who care about public health and climate change, we can’t afford to miss this opportunity to join with our neighbors in common cause.

Climate justice is gender justice. Women are overrepresented among the world’s poor, who are the least able to recover from the natural disasters, increased threat of disease and other health hazards, and food and water insecurity that will inevitably result from climate change under a business-as-usual scenario.

President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration should spur groups working towards positive economic, public health, gender, and climate policy to recognize that our struggles are linked and to use that knowledge to build a stronger, united movement. Pollution standards and clean energy will make Pennsylvania healthier, create safe jobs, and minimize the further effects of climate change.

Register here to stand in support of a future of environmental and gender justice.
