FUN FACT: PECO partners with the Run for Clean Air to teach you how to live greener

Do you know how far you need to run to power an LED bulb for 24 hours? What about the greenest way to dispose of your old freezer or fridge? If you’re participating in the Run for Clean Air presented by Toyota Hybrids on Earth Day you’ll get the answers to these and other common sustainability questions thanks to our friends and PECO.

PECO is once again partnering with the Run for Clean Air, and is graciously providing course signs telling runners how much power they generated in the distance traveled, and promoting ways they can keep their PECO-powered homes running efficiently and environmentally safe.

“PECO is one of Clean Air Council’s longest-running partners for the Run for Clean Air, and their signature eco-fact course signs have become a staple of the race,” praised Executive Director and Chief Counsel Joe Minott.

“The information promoted by PECO illustrates the cultural overlap between fitness, energy consumption, and living sustainability — a perfect realization of the Run for Clean Air’s goal!”

To see the complete lineup of ecofacts provided by PECO, join us for the Run for Clean Air presented by Toyota Hybrids on Earth Day April 22nd on MLK Drive next to the Art Museum.
