Explore Air Quality, Air Pollution and Respiratory Health in Philadelphia

Saturday, September 26 | 11:00 am –3:00 pm

The Air We Share Showcase is a special event at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, exploring air quality, air pollution, respiratory health, and environmental science. Included with museum admission, this interactive community event brings together scientists, health experts, and local organizations for hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and family-friendly experiences.

Discover how air quality impacts our health, learn how pollution is monitored in local neighborhoods, and explore ways communities are working toward cleaner, healthier air for everyone.

Attendees can take a virtual reality journey through the lungs and explore an inflatable lung display. Sean the Science Kid will also lead live science shows during the showcase.

The focus will extend beyond the body to the air outside. The Clean Air Council will demonstrate ways to monitor air quality, and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health will introduce attendees to the network it uses to monitor air around the city.

Know your air. Protect your health.
